Newport, RI — Newport Polo is proud to announce the official launch of the Newport Polo Foundation, a new philanthropic initiative that will play a central role in the organization’s upcoming 150th Diamond Jubilee charitable goals. As Newport Polo prepares for this historic milestone, the Foundation will lead efforts to raise funds for charitable organizations locally, and where it is needed most, honoring the club’s heritage of community connection and global friendship.

The mission of the Newport Polo Foundation is to strengthen communities. Each season, the Foundation will support a curated group of charitable organizations selected by its Board, extending its reach from the heart of Newport County to partners who are part of the Newport Polo family. Through generous donations, the Foundation aspires to champion initiatives that uplift communities, foster connection, and create meaningful impact on and off the field.

To celebrate its debut, Newport Polo is hosting the Foundation’s inaugural event: a festive holiday gathering at one of Newport’s most storied landmarks.

The Newport Polo Foundation invites supporters and friends to raise a merry glass on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 4–6pm at the Old Colony House in Washington Square, Newport. Guests are encouraged to arrive in holiday attire and enjoy a spirited twilight mingle in the heart of Newport, where Washington Square sparkles for the season and the Colony House glows with timeless Christmas charm. 

The event coincides with the Newport Historical Society’s Holiday Market, offering an enchanting backdrop of seasonal cheer.

In the spirit of giving, attendees are invited to bring a toy, non-perishable food item, personal care product, or small treasure to support local families through donations to the MLK Community Center.
