Polo Parties
Newport Polo is the perfect place for wedding receptions, birthday bashes, club outings, or to entertain business clients! Host your polo party during a Saturday polo match from June through September for an afternoon your guests will never forget.
Groups of 30 or more can contact us for reservation assistance. Reservations are accepted up to three years in advance. Group spaces are limited to preserve space for individuals and smaller groups. We respectfully ask groups of less than 30 to wait for the Box Office to open in February to purchase their tickets.

Cabana Suites
- Private Party Suites for groups of 30-50 with premium views of the match
- Each cabana features a fully tented 20′ x 20′ entertaining space and a second-story observation deck include lounge furniture
- A 8′ x 20′ furnished interior hospitality & service area provides space for optional catering and beverage service

- The rental fee is $2500.
Reserved Lawn Parties
- Fieldside seating for 40 to 60 guests with prime views of the action, and tents and chairs included.
- Package includes everything you need to throw a polo party fieldside. Just bring your own food, drinks, and guests!
- The smaller Reserved Lawn Package includes 40 admission tickets, 25 chairs set up fieldside by Newport Polo, a 10′ by 20′ tent, and an 8′ banquet table. The rental fee is $1400.
- The smaller Reserved Lawn Package includes 60 admission tickets, 40 chairs set up fieldside by Newport Polo, a 20′ by 20′ tent, and an 8′ banquet table. The rental fee is $2100.
Tailgate & Chalet Parties
Reserve two or more adjacent Tailgate or Chalet spaces to park fieldside and throw an epic polo party of any size, from 30 guests to 250 or more!
Online sales of tailgates and chalets are limited to one pers household per match. Multiple tailgates and chalets can only be purchased by submitting a polo party inquiry and requires a minimum purchase of two spaces and 30 admission tickets. To reserve a single tailgate or chalet, please wait until our box office opens to the public on the first Saturday in February.
Packages are priced by the number of tailgate or chalet spaces and admission tickets at currently published prices. There are no volume discounts.

FAQs
- Group reservations of any kind for the current season require payment in full to secure the reservation.
- Tickets are electronic and sent via email to distribute to guests. All guests must present proper admission ticket at entry gate; no admission without ticket. Group tickets are emailed upon completing the reservation. Polo party hosts must ensure that guests receive tickets in advance. Guest lists cannot be accommodated at the entry gates; polo party tickets may not be distributed at the Polo Grounds nor left at Will Call.
- Picnics & Grills: Grills must be above the grass and away from tents; coals may NOT be dumped on the premises. Catered or byo food & beverage are welcome; onsite concessions are listed below. Catering vehicles and prep area must be located within your space, or General Parking by pre-approval from Newport Polo. Professional bartending provided by caterer or another vendor must provide Rhode Island liquor license and certificate of insurance to Newport Polo at least 7 days in advance of the event (Contact Us for complete requirements).
- Tents: If you intend to bring a tent: please be advised that tents may not be placed in the front row. Tents may be placed behind the flag poles in the Tailgate section of the venue. Additional tent may be placed aft of Chalet tent – elimnates space for car parking at the Chalet. Branded tents and commercial signage/display/promotion of any kind are not permitted without Newport Polo’s approval. Tents larger than 10’x12’ require express permission and guidelines from Newport Polo in advance (Contact Us) to avoid property damage to underground utilities; Tents that are >350 square feet are required to obtain an official Tent Permit from the Town of Portsmouth – at your discretion (Apply Online); we recommend that you allow up to 5 days.
- Match Sponsorship: Benefits include group admission & reserved seating options, naming rights to the event in all Polo advertising and marketing, naming the team, signage at venue and team jerseys, PA announcements, Official Coin Toss & Award Ceremony opportunities, display ad space in polo magazine, onsite activation/sales/sampling rights and more (Contact Us).
- Jumbotron Messages can be requested through the online portal no later than 9AM on the Friday before the event.
