About Newport Polo

Welcome to Newport Polo, host of the Newport International Polo Series and functioning body of the historic Westchester Polo Club, America’s first polo club, established in 1876 and charter member of the United States Polo Association. Today’s club is based in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, with a public exhibition event venue at Glen Farm as well as private practice & tournament fields, indoor & outdoor arenas and training facilities in Newport County, RI.

Each Saturday in June through September since 1992, the Newport International Polo Series features teams from around the world & from major US cities competing against USA / Newport.  Each season brings an exciting lineup of action-packed polo matches, international team debuts, and memorable special events for fun on and off the field, supported by an enthusiastic spectator audience.
