Each Cabana Suite features a spacious, tented Main Deck (20′ x 20′) with modular lounge seating, and cocktail tables with bar-height chairs. Inside, the Hospitality Area (8′ x 20′) includes a banquet table, console to station gifts, food, etc, and a bar, with electrical power (20 amps) available. The Observation Deck offers elevated views with cocktail tables, chairs, and market umbrellas.
Each Cabana Suite can accommodate up to 50 people. Up to two adjacent Cabana Suites can be combined to create one contiguous space for larger groups of up to 100 people.
Many hosts and their vendors, such as caterers, arrive early to setup for their event. You and your vendors may enter the Cabana Suite up to three hours before the match begins. Your guests may enter up to two hours before the match begins.

Bar Services #
A private bar by Newport Polo offers dedicated, professional beverage service experience tailored to your event. Choose a selection of wine, beer, and cocktails from our menu, designed by The Cocktail Guru. A private bartender ensures seamless beverage service, with our team taking care of all bar setup, restocking, and breakdown.
The fee for a private bartender and private bar setup is $500. Consumption charges and gratuity are due at the close of your event. For hosts seeking an elevated event, additional services are available including a champagne toast, signature cocktails designed for your event, and an expanded selection of premium cocktails. Please contact us for add-ons and pricing.
You may instead: hire an external vendor for beverage service; bring your own beverages, including alcohol; or opt to not have beverage service (our full service bars on site provide carry-away sales, only steps away). Due to laws regarding the sale of alcohol, external vendors may not conduct sales or operate a cash bar.
Parking #
Reserved Cabana Parking is included, as are our General Parking areas. Pick-ups and drop-offs at the Cabana Suites are not allowed.
Each Cabana Suite includes one reserved service parking spot behind the structure which can be used for loading and unloading before and after the event.
Tickets #
You will receive advance tickets to distribute to your guests. Tickets grant entry to the polo grounds and the Cabana Suite. Newport Polo does not manage guest lists, will call, or on-site ticket distribution.
Decorations, Setup, and Clean Up #
Furniture can be rearranged within the space but cannot be moved between or out of the Cabana Suite without approval. We welcome and encourage decorations, but they must fall within our guidelines. The following are not allowed:
- attachments to structures or tents
- adhesives
- commercial branding/signage
- confetti
- open flames
- glass decorations and glass drinkware
We want your event to be safe and successful, so we may deny decorations at our discretion. Please contact us to discuss any questions related to decorations.
You and your vendors are responsible for removing decorations and bagging all trash. Bagged trash will be removed regularly.
Vendors #
The event host is responsible for all vendor arrangements. Vendors must be licensed and insured in Rhode Island, and you must provide us with the relevant documents 8 days before the event. Vendors may not sell products or distribute samples anywhere on the polo grounds.
In accordance with the law, vendors may not sell alcoholic beverages. As such, hosts who choose external beverage service must conduct service as a hosted bar. Furthermore, vendors who serve alcohol must:
- Check ID for anyone appearing 30 years old or younger
- Serve no more than 2 alcoholic drinks per order
- Not serve shots or triples
- Not serve visibly intoxicated guests
- Limit alcohol service to 5 hours per event
- Secure alcohol before, during, and after service
- Use only certified alcohol servers
Security Deposit #
A refundable security deposit is due 8 days before the event.
Miscellaneous #
- Generators and loud equipment are not permitted
- Smoking and vaping are not permitted
- Private music and amplified sound are not permitted
