In a remarkable full-circle moment, the Genghis Kan Polo Retreat delegation journeys from the birthplace of polo to the home of America’s First Polo Club, igniting Newport Polo’s 150th Diamond Jubilee and setting the stage for a fiercely competitive summer.

June 20 | Newport vs. Boston

June 27 | USA vs. Brazil
June closes with an electrifying international showdown as Team USA faces Brazil, one of the world’s most celebrated polo nations, in a match showcasing elite horsemanship and exceptional athleticism. Team Brazil arrives in Newport carrying one of the most prestigious traditions in world polo. Their visit serves as a fitting tribute to the summer of 1876, when Emperor Dom Pedro II of Brazil vacationed in Newport during the very season polo first took root in America, heightening the Newport social season that year. One hundred fifty years later, as Newport Polo celebrates its Diamond Jubilee, Brazil returns to the City-by-the-Sea in a rare convergence of history, sport, and international prestige.
