Breaking Down the Saturday Matchup

Published on

After a week of competition, hard-fought chukkers, and no shortage of drama, the Newport and Boston teams, who tied in earlier rounds, are the finalists for one last standoff on Saturday—and the rivalry could not be tighter.

Representing Newport are defending champion, Glen Farm, captained by South African professional Stuart Campbell, whose three decades of experience and exceptional horsemanship make him one of the most respected strategists and horseman in the game. Under his command will be Newport’s own Dan Kinsella, whose steady rise has forged a lethal forward. Joining him are Sam Shore, a former UConn standout who has represented Team USA abroad; and Sam Clemens, Yale alum and Newport Polo veteran whose tactical play has become a fixture of the club.

Standing in their path is Boston’s formidable Blackburn Farm team, a lineup built on lifelong polo tradition and remarkable chemistry. Rising star Robin Reyes, already a Harvard varsity player despite his youth, brings fearless energy and exceptional talent. He is joined by Walter Eayrs, whose roots in polo and carriage traditions run generations deep, and brothers Justin and Benji Daniels, from a renowned polo family and among America’s most accomplished young professional products of the prestigious Team USPA program.

Pride, prize money and bragging rights are on the line! Tickets
