Newport Polo Welcomes Private Jeweler Calista West as New Sponsor of the Veuve Clicquot Cup

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — Newport Polo is pleased to welcome private jeweler Calista West as its newest sponsor, joining the club for the Veuve Clicquot Cup on Saturday, June 13, as her polo team takes the field in one of the season’s most anticipated matches.

Based in Boston, Calista West has built a distinguished reputation through a highly personalized and discreet approach to fine jewelry. Since founding her eponymous brand on Nantucket Island in 2017, she has reimagined the traditional jewelry experience by moving beyond the conventional retail model and focusing instead on meaningful, one-on-one relationships with her clients.

Each piece is thoughtfully sourced or custom created, guided by an understanding of the client’s individual story, personal style, and life’s most important milestones. Through a trusted global network of diamond dealers and master craftsmen, West provides access to exceptional stones and world-class craftsmanship while maintaining a transparent and highly tailored process from concept to completion.

Now based full-time in Boston, where she relocated in the fall of 2025, West works privately from her Beacon Hill showroom. As both an entrepreneur and mother, she brings a unique perspective to her work, helping clients commemorate life’s defining moments through jewelry designed to be treasured for generations. Her son, Asher—aptly named after the elegant diamond shape—reflects the personal connection and meaning that inspire her approach.

“Calista’s commitment to craftsmanship, authenticity, and personalized service aligns beautifully with the values of Newport Polo and the elevated experience we strive to create for our guests,” said Agnes Keating, General Manager of Newport Polo. “We are delighted to welcome her to the Newport Polo family and look forward to introducing her remarkable brand to our audience.”

Appointments with Calista West are held privately in Boston, with worldwide travel available for in-person consultations upon request.

Guests attending the Veuve Clicquot Cup will have the opportunity to learn more about Calista West and celebrate the newest partnership in Newport Polo’s historic 150th Diamond Jubilee season.

In addition to her bespoke design services, Calista West offers a thoughtfully curated collection of fine jewelry spanning custom pieces, rings, earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. Whether creating a one-of-a-kind engagement ring, reimagining a cherished heirloom, or sourcing an extraordinary statement piece, each creation reflects her commitment to exceptional craftsmanship, timeless design, and a deeply personal client experience. Her work celebrates life’s most meaningful moments through jewelry designed to be worn, treasured, and passed down through generations.

Equally important to her business philosophy is a commitment to international social responsibility. That commitment was sparked by a chance encounter during the winter of 2017, when West learned firsthand of the challenges facing underserved mining communities around the world. Deeply moved by the stories she encountered, she resolved to build a business that would not only celebrate beauty and craftsmanship but also contribute to positive change. Beginning in October 2022, Calista West pledged a percentage of every engagement ring sale to support the work of trusted nonprofit partners serving mining communities and advancing responsible sourcing initiatives. Through these efforts, she seeks to create a lasting impact beyond the jewelry itself, helping to support the people and communities connected to the industry’s supply chain.
