Dear Friends of Newport Polo,
As the shortest days of the year give way to longer light and brighter horizons, we are reminded that a new polo season—and an extraordinary new chapter—lies just ahead. With the New Year comes much to celebrate: the 250th anniversary of our great American republic, the 150th anniversary of polo in America—born here in Newport—and the upcoming 35th season of the Newport International Polo Series. These milestones lend special meaning to the season before us and deepen our appreciation for the history, tradition, and community that unite us.
Looking ahead, 2026 promises to be a landmark year. We are honored to welcome back our loyal supporters and fans who will join us for another summer on the lawn, and to host teams from near and far—from perennial favorites to rivals arriving from the far-flung corners of the world. We are also proud to mark the launch of the Newport Polo Foundation, created to focus, organize, and expand our charitable efforts in service of our local community and causes close to our hearts.
As we reflect on all that has brought us here and all that is yet to come, we extend our deepest thanks to the supporters, partners, players, and fans who make this journey possible. With gratitude for the past and great anticipation for the future, we wish you a joyful holiday season, a bright New Year, and look forward to welcoming you back to the field and the celebrations begin.
