Newport Polo is proud to host its annual All Charity Day on Sunday, July 13, a special afternoon dedicated entirely to supporting the important work of nonprofit organizations across Rhode Island and beyond. This community-driven event brings together a wide range of charitable groups, each with the opportunity to raise funds by selling tickets to the polo match directly to their supporters. In a unique model of collaboration and giving, every participating charity retains 100% of the proceeds from their ticket sales, allowing them to benefit directly from the event without sharing costs or overhead.
Now in its annual tradition, All Charity Day is a celebration of community spirit, grassroots fundraising, and the collective power of doing good. Each nonprofit involved brings their own community of supporters to the match, creating an incredibly diverse and inspiring audience united by a shared commitment to making a difference. From educational programs and environmental conservation to healthcare advocacy and cultural institutions, the variety of causes represented reflects the strength and vibrancy of Rhode Island’s nonprofit sector.
Selling tickets at the entry gates will be volunteers from Newport Rotary Club for lawn and patio seating. An Art Fair will spring to life with original works by artists from Galaray House, a vibrant contemporary art collective featuring bold abstracts, stunning landscapes, and captivating mixed-media creations. The West Lawn will feature food trucks and pop up vendors and the Newport Polo Pro Shop. Dillons Patio Bar will also be open for service.
The event will take place at the Newport International Polo Grounds in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. Gates will open at 3PM, allowing guests ample time to set up picnics, connect with friends, and explore the grounds before the match begins at 5PM. The polo match itself promises the same world-class play and thrilling atmosphere that guests have come to expect throughout the Newport International Polo Series, but with the added meaning of knowing that every ticket sold supports a cause that directly benefits our local communities.
Whether you are attending in support of a particular nonprofit or simply want to enjoy a great day of polo for a good cause, All Charity Day is a unique opportunity to combine your love of sport with impactful giving. Tickets must be purchased directly from the participating charities, and each organization will manage its own sales. We encourage guests to reach out to their favorite nonprofit to find out how to secure their spot at this meaningful event.
All Charity Day is a testament to the idea that when we come together, even a day of sport and leisure can create lasting change. Join us on Sunday, July 13, to experience a day of polo with purpose, and help support the vital work of nonprofits making a difference in our community every day.
