2025 Gala Beneficiaries Named

Newport, RI (June 09, 2025) …. Newport Polo is pleased to announce the beneficiaries of its 24th annual charity gala, Singapore Swing, Presented by BD on Friday, August 1, 2025.

Newport Polo’s 24th annual black-tie charity gala —a flora & fauna-inspired midsummer fête celebrates environmental philanthropy and the return of the Singapore Polo Team. Hosted at the fabled Rosecliff Mansion on Bellevue Avenue, this dazzling affair will unite polo’s elite and Newport’s social set for a cause that matters.

With generous team support by Vanderbilt International Properties, enhanced celebrations by Palm Beach Motor Yachts, a gin sling bar curated by The Cocktail Guru and Tito’s, plus entertainment in the Redfin Premier Ballroom, guests can expect an evening of unparalleled elegance and revelry.

For over two decades, this highly anticipated event has helped raise nearly $2.2 million for nonprofit initiatives, and this year’s proceeds will champion RI’s most urgent environmental missions by benefitting Eastern Rhode Island Conservation District, Roger Williams Park Zoo, Save The Bay and Newport Tree Conservancy.

“We’re honored to be the beneficiary of this year’s Newport Polo Gala,” said Nancy Parker Wilson, Chair of the Eastern Rhode Island Conservation District and owner of Greenvale Vineyards. “As a farmer, I know how vital healthy soil and clean water are—not just for agriculture, but for our whole community. We’re thrilled to be part of this exciting event alongside the international team from Singapore—it’s a fun and elegant way to celebrate global connection and environmental stewardship for a more sustainable future”.

“We are excited to partner with the Newport Polo for their annual ball and help spread the word about our mission to protect and improve Narragansett Bay and its watershed,” said Topher Hamblett, Save The Bay‘s Executive Director. “It’s an honor to be listed among the many nonprofit recipients doing great work on and around Aquidneck Island.”

“The Roger Williams Park Zoo is grateful for the opportunity to participate in this fundraising effort with Newport Polo to support its conservation programs,” stated Stacey Johnson, Executive Director, Roger Williams Park Zoo.

“The Newport Tree Conservancy is very appreciative of the support of Newport Polo.  As a community, working together is the best way to expand impact. Together we are making a difference and planting for the future. Thank you Newport Polo!” commented Natasha Harrison, Executive Director, Newport Tree Conservancy.

“BD is proud to support these environmental initiatives and give back to the community that we’ve been a part of for over 100 years.” For over a century, BD’s Surgery Business Unit, with headquarters and design center in Warwick, RI, is advancing the world of health, employing nearly 300 associates to distribute over $1 billion in medical devices globally.  To learn more, visit www.bd.com.

“While we embark on a Singapore inspired odyssey for this year’s gala, the proceeds of our fundraising efforts will elevate efforts to ensure a healthy, sustainable environment for future generations in one of America’s oldest and most unique cities,” explain Meg Stowe and Chris Fragomeni, Polo Club Ambassadors. “We invite you to join us in raising our paddles to support this progressive goal.”

A Live and Silent Auction of rare and exclusive opportunities will be launched online in advance of the event, for nonattendees to have a chance to place competitive bids that could stand up against the final round of bidding to take place during the gala.  Proceeds from the auctions will support the named beneficiaries.

Tickets for the black tie gala are sold out, and associated events are soon to be revealed.  Newport Polo’s annual sellout charity gala has become the social highlight of the summer polo season.  The highly-anticipated affair, whose theme is recreated each year to honor a different international polo team, welcomes supporters this year to make a red-carpet entrance inspired by iconic Argentine cultural contributions, from its natural resources to its celebrated musical heritage and legendary gaucho tradition.
