One final winner. One extraordinary journey. A world of possibilities.
For 150 years, Newport Polo has had a habit of looking beyond the horizon. So there could hardly be a more fitting finale to our Diamond Jubilee Season than sending two Newport Polo fans out into that world—in Business Class.
On Saturday, October 3, the season-long suspense comes to its grand conclusion at the Turkish Airlines Finals, when our 7-time Presenting Sponsor crowns the winner of Newport Polo’s annual Grand Prize Drawing: round-trip Business Class tickets for two to any destination in the Turkish Airlines network.
Since 2019, Turkish Airlines has transformed one of our favorite Newport Polo traditions into the ultimate globetrotter’s prize. From the moment the winners settle into Business Class, Turkish hospitality, elevated cuisine and an extraordinary international network put an enviable number of dream destinations within reach.
But first, you have to get your name in the hat.
Throughout the summer, each Saturday’s Door Prize winner has earned more than Champagne and prizes—they’ve also secured a place among the Grand Prize finalists. At the Finals, one last Door Prize winner will join them, giving every attendee one final chance to enter the season’s most anticipated drawing.
Then, following the match, all of the finalists come together for the moment we’ve been waiting for all summer: one name is drawn, two Business Class seats await, and the world suddenly becomes their oyster.
Turkish Airlines will be in the house to celebrate, bringing its signature international hospitality to the Foxwoods Cabana Club as the excitement builds toward the Trophy Presentation and Grand Prize Drawing.
And what a setting for it. The unexpected October 3 encore gives us one more Saturday of summer to fill BD Field with Coastal Cowboy picnics, smoking grills, cold bubbles, friends and fast ponies before our 35th season—and extraordinary 150th anniversary year—takes its final bow.
After a Diamond Jubilee that celebrated the countries, players, horses and friendships that have connected Newport Polo to the world, it seems only appropriate that our final act should come with a passport.
As the saying attributed to Sir Winston Churchill goes, “A polo handicap is a passport to the world.” For one very lucky Newport Polo fan, Turkish Airlines is about to make that quite literal.
