Newport Polo’s 24th annual black-tie charity gala transports you to the Singapore Swing Presented by BD—a flora & fauna-inspired midsummer fête celebrating environmental philanthropy and the return of the Singapore Polo Team.

Hosted at the fabled Rosecliff Mansion on Bellevue Avenue, this dazzling affair will unite polo’s elite and Newport’s social set for a cause that matters.

With BD and fellow benefactors sowing the seeds of success—led by team patronage from Vanderbilt International Properties, media plumage courtesy of NBC10, and a vibrant gin sling bar blooming under the care of The Cocktail Guru—guests will be immersed in a lush tapestry of elegance and enchantment. Add to that entertainment in the Redfin Premier Ballroom, couture in full flourish by Silvia Tcherassi, and spirited support for our beneficiary from Tito’s Handmade Vodka, and the evening promises to be nothing short of a gilded garden of revelry.

For over two decades, this highly anticipated event has helped raise over $2.2 million for nonprofit initiatives, and this year’s proceeds will champion RI’s most urgent environmental missions by benefitting Eastern Rhode Island Conservation District, Roger Williams Park Zoo, Save The Bay and Newport Tree Conservancy.

For sunset ocean views from the lawn & terrace with enticing hors d’oeuvres, specialty themed cocktails and a tantalizing Silent Auction of a highly curated exclusives will be at play for dueling bidders.  As twilight evokes an iridescent ocean and garden backdrop, guests will delight in a seated 3-course gourmet dinner presentation and a whirlwind Live Auction offering up a quintuplet of the night’s premier opportunities. The gilded ballroom will come to life with a live band concert for dancing ’til the stroke of midnight when valeted departures will receive access to the Skybar, Newport’s VIP dancefloor atop the iconic Clarke Cooke House.

Festivities carry on through the weekend as the international guests of honor take to the polo field on the following afternoon to compete against USA in the Newport International Polo Series.  Après Polo, enjoy the Club’s Lobsterfest by the legendary McGrath Clambakes for a brilliant conclusion field-side to an extraordinary weekend.

POLICIES: Ticketed guests must be 21 or older to attend the gala (or accompanied by a parent or guardian).  Proof of age may be required. Be sure to provide the best email address, to receive all event details and notifications.  As per our Terms & Conditions, REFUNDS must be requested in writing by the customer, via email, at least 30 days prior to the ticketed event (by noon on July 1, 2025) sent to: info@nptpolo.com; a handling fee of $15 will be assessed. Newport Polo reserves the right to reinstate Health Safety requirements if necessary, to comply with State safety guidelines and health mandates. (Should Covid safety protocols be reinstated, notification will be made by email to ticket purchasers, but it is ultimately the responsibility of the ticket holder to check this page for any posted safety requirements prior to the refund deadline, and prior to attending.  Failure to cooperate will result in nonadmission and – if inside of 30 days – may not meet refund criteria. About Rosecliff: Rosecliff is the premier estate amidst America’s finest collection of Gilded Age mansions. After a fairytale wedding, Nevada silver heiress Theresa Fair Oelrichs commissioned architect Stanford White in 1899 to model Rosecliff after the Grand Trianon, the garden retreat of French kings at Versailles. After the house was completed in 1902, at a reported cost of $2.5 million, Mrs. Oelrichs hosted fabulous entertainments here, including a party featuring famed magician Harry Houdini. An extensive, multi-million dollar renovation took place this year, and its highly anticipated reopening is scheduled for this September.

Annual Charitable Initiatives:  In its 33 years, Newport Polo is proud to have helped raise over $2 million for nonprofit organizations through its gala auction and benefit matches, Season Program ad sales, and ticket donations for the Newport International Polo Series, among other fundraising initiatives.  In 2025, Newport Polo’s annual charitable initiatives will also include Season Program Ad Sales’ Rotary Club Scholarship Fund and 2 charity polo matches – the Annual Rotary Charity Match and All Charity Day whose dates are announced in January, among other initiatives in the works.
