“Highland Tartans” is a bold and regal Newport Polo theme that draws inspiration from the rich traditions and rugged beauty of the Scottish Highlands. Embracing heritage and pageantry, the event invites guests to dress with a modern take on classic Scottish fashion. Men can sport tailored kilts or tartan trousers paired with crisp white shirts, vests, and formal jackets, while women may choose plaid-accented dresses, capes, or skirts, styled with leather boots, brooches, and dramatic outerwear. A color palette of deep greens, navy, crimson, and heather gray brings a stately charm to the scene, set against touches of velvet and wool. The menu can pay homage to Scottish fare with elegant takes on traditional dishes: mini beef Wellington bites, smoked salmon blinis, shepherd’s pie tartlets, and a refined cheese and oatcake station. For dessert, guests can enjoy shortbread, whisky truffles, or cranachan with fresh berries and cream. The bar can feature Scotch whisky tastings, whisky cocktails like Blood and Sand or a Highland Mule, and a robust selection of dark ales and sparkling cider. The setting evokes a rustic manor gathering, with tartan table runners, antler centerpieces, vintage lanterns, and heater or thistle floral arrangements. Guests may lounge on leather seating beside mock stone fireplaces or sip whisky under a tented Highland sky.
